Pairing #15
The male in this pairing was produced here in 2004, he is a half sib on the sires side to the 2005 Biak OC and is also 50% Biak. The female was produced here in 2006 and is a Blue male x Aru offspring. Both animals where red neonates and I am very interested to see what they produce. Given the mix of genetics here anything in possible as a final out come in the offspring. Though my gut tells my their will be some black and blue in their future.
Estimated prices for babies= $700 for yellows &$1,500 for reds based on appearance
9/1/09: The pair was introduce and numerous copulations have been noted.
9/28/09: Still breeding nightly.
11/7/09: The female looks to be full of follicles and has gained a NICE blue tone.
11/20/09: This girl ovulated today!
11/26/09: The females ovulation looked great and the male has been returned to his own cage.
1/23/10: This girl was only able to lay four of the thirty four eggs she was carrieing. So this is basically a but pairing. At least i was lucky enough to have had two of the four she was able to lay be fertile. These two eggs are cooking and are looking great. I will be giving this female away as a pet, with the inderstanding the new owner will be paying shipping and agrees never to breed her.
